Childcare South Australia is a professional, committed group of private independently owned service providers who actively seek to maintain high quality, affordable and equitable services for children and their families. |
- To support members to develop strategies, philosophies and practices consistent with the provision of quality child care.
- To extend and improve the provision of child care services to the families of this State, by encouraging the development and commercial viability of private child care centres.
- To collect, collate and distribute knowledge and information on the latest methods and instructions used in child care.
- To form a collaborative partnership with DECS and other Government bodies involved in the early childhood area, built on mutual respect and professional ethics.
- To promote privately owned commercial child care services in this State.
- To actively contribute to course development and in-service training programs that support and enhance the skills of staff working in the child care sector.
- To interact with other bodies involved in child care on all matters pertaining to the welfare of children at all community and political levels.
- To promote and protect the interests of members in any way possible, and to seek solutions of any contentious issue raised by members.
- To instigate social and informal contact with members. There are various ways in which fellow members can cooperate, particularly when they meet socially and professionally.
- Train our staff to be competent, courteous and helpful at all times.
- Maintain the highest possible standard of quality and service.
